Nokia Smartpur Project – GP Agasand, Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh) The Nokia Smartpur Centre at Gram Panchayat Agasand, Block Nindura, District Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, serves as a community-driven digital ecosystem development hub, operating from the Government owned boiling- Panchayat Bhawan. The Centre is actively working to improve the quality of life of rural unreached community by promoting digital inclusion, access to government essential services, and sustainable development. The community is continuously mobilized by the Community Mobilizer (CM) and Computer Accademy Instructor (CAI), team to encourage participation in various development initiatives. The Centre Facilitator (CF) provides support in accessing government services while guiding community members toward available welfare schemes. The Centre regularly conducts Digital Literacy Classes (DLCs) and capacity-building sessions covering livelihood enhancement, government schemes, education, financial inclusion, and health awareness. These initiatives aim to empower youth, women, and other community members with knowledge, digital skills, and opportunities for self-reliance. As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and DRR the project also organized a tree plantation drive, promoting nature conservation and encouraging community participation in creating a greener and healthier environment. Through collaborative efforts and community engagement, the Nokia Smartpur Project in GP Agasand is fostering inclusive rural development and building a digitally empowered, informed, and resilient community.
