Facilitated By
Aijaz Ahmed BhatThe Centre Facilitator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Smartpur Centre, delivering digital and governance services, assisting beneficiaries in accessing government schemes and online services, coordinating centre activities, maintaining records, supporting programme implementation, and ensuring smooth service delivery to the community.

Aijaz Ahmed Bhat hails from Sitharan, a remote village in the mountainous region of Budgam district. Like many young people in this far-flung area, Aijaz faced limited opportunities after completing his education. Despite being skilled, he remained unemployed for some time due to the lack of local job options and restricted exposure to digital and livelihood opportunities. His skills in basic computer applications and his keen interest in community work often went unnoticed in a region where youth migration for employment had become common. When the Smartpur project was introduced in Sitharan, it opened a new chapter for Aijaz. His knowledge of the community, combined with his technical capabilities, led him to be selected as the Centre Facilitator. This role provided a platform where he could apply his skills meaningfully—bringing digital learning, e-governance services, and livelihood support to residents of his own village. Ajaz Ahmed Bhat has been serving as a dedicated facilitator at our center for the past two years, where he received a valuable opportunity to serve the people of his village and surrounding areas. A highly skilled and multitasking individual, Ajaz has emerged as a true change-maker by using his talents for the welfare of the community. For him, this role is not just a job but an entrepreneurship model that empowers him to grow while uplifting others. With strong computer skills, he ensures that digital services and computer-related work reach even the most remote citizens. He plays a crucial role in spreading awareness and facilitating access to various government welfare schemes, ensuring that deserving beneficiaries receive their rightful support. Through his dedication, skills, and tireless service, Ajaz Ahmed Bhat continues to strengthen grassroots development and inspire others to serve society with commitment and purpose.
